Instructions
Clean the kale
To do this, strip the leaves from the stem. Rip the kale into big pieces. Wash and dry the kale. It’s easiest to do this in a salad spinner.
Season the kale
Add the washed and dried kale to a bowl. Drizzle with oil, sprinkle with salt. Add seasoning if using. Toss the kale by hand, massaging the oil into the leaves.
Air Fry the kale
Spread the kale pieces on an air fryer baking sheet, you don’t need to worry about leaving room because the kale will shrink quite a bit while cooking.
Place the baking sheet in the air fryer, adding an empty baking sheet above so the kale doesn’t fly around. When ingredients fly around in the air fryer, they can get stuck to the heating elements and burn or catch fire.If you’re using a basket-style air fryer, use the air fryer rack if it comes with it and place it on top of the kale leaves.
Air fry for 2 minutes if you want the edges crispy but with a very slight chew. Air fry for 3 minutes if you want the kale crispy with no chew.
